Goshen Winter Percussion group takes first place

INDIANAPOLIS — The Goshen High School Winter Percussion ensemble earned a first-place rating in competition Saturday.

The group took part in an invitational at Franklin Central High School in Indianapolis. GHS band director Tom Cox said the Goshen ensemble took the top spot out of 24 groups in Class A competition.

The ensemble, led by director Derrick Shannon, is performing a show this year called “A New Beginning.”
