Two homes destroyed by fire this morning

Structures on North Fifth Street were unoccupied

GOSHEN — Two unoccupied homes were destroyed by fire at Fifth and Crescent streets early this morning (Sunday, Nov. 25).

A passerby saw the flames and called emergency workers around 5:10 a.m., according to Battalion Chief Rick Kauffman. Kauffman said both homes, 425  and 427 N. Fifth St., are owned by Ron Davidhizar. Kauffman said no one was living in the homes. One structure collapsed into rubble and the other was severely damaged. Firefighters were able to stop the flames from spreading to the house south of the two that burned. No injuries were reported.
