GOSHEN —
The league champion Northridge Raiders placed five members on the All-NLC baseball team for the 2012 season.
Northridge is represented by senior Jordan Carithers, juniors Shannon Baker, Blake Fry, Brock Logan and Austin Moniot.
Also named to the team were juniors Austin Henke and Travis Pickard of Goshen, senior Tanner Roberts, sophomores Blake Cleveland and Hunter Lane of NorthWood; senior Seth Huxford, junior Taylor Miller and sophomore Nick DeFreese of Concord; seniors Alex Brewers, Parker Devenney and Justin Oley of Elkhart Memorial; senior Si Shear of Wawasee, senior Austin Franzen of Warsaw, seniors Chase Peters and Jordan Scheetz of Plymouth.
Honorable mention selections were junior Sylas Buller of Goshen, seniors TJ Miller and Austin Summy of Northridge, junior Tommy Klem and Brock Spitaels of NorthWood, senior Preston Miller of Concord, sophomore Jacob Tucker of Memorial, junior Derrick Sorensen of Wawasee and junior Ike Kastner of Plymouth.
Andrew Brabender of Northridge was named Coach of the Year by his peers.
Northridge finished the NLC campaign with a 12-2 record, followed by NorthWood 11-3, Concord 8-6, Memorial 7-7, Plymouth 6-8, Warsaw 5-9, Goshen 4-10 and Wawasee 3-11.
