Safe Kids Elkhart County Pirates 14, Goshen Stamping Silverhawks 9: Reece Fisher, Felipe Garcia, Raul Gomez and Josh Haimes each slapped two hits for the Pirates. Fisher (four strikeouts) was the winning pitcher. Tony Garcia (one) also pitched. Angel Reyes had two hits for the Silverhawks. Reyes and Jose Pizana pitched, striking out six apiece.
Goshen F.O.P. Orioles 18, Contemporary Images Seawolves 8: Leading hitters for the Orioles were Colin Turner three hits, Bryant Grewe, Arthur Peterson and Matt Talley each two and Cruz Garcia one. Winning pitcher Braxton Kincaid struck out three and Turner fanned four in a relief effort. Daniel Fonseca had three hits, Sam Perez and Ben Schneider both two, Ryan Harmelink and Cam Schneider one apiece for the Seawolves. Pitchers Harmelink and Schneider both fanned three.
Himco Waste-Away Cubs 10, Kik Custom Products Senators 6: Brayden Beck, Manuel Castillo and Eric Newell each had two hits and Bryant Robinson one for the Cubs. Newell struck two in earning the win. Evan Yoder pitched in relief. For the Senators, Trenton Scott had two hits, Ian Hostetler and Robbie Riegsecker both one. Riegsecker (six strikeouts) and Austin Cain (one) pitched.
VFW 985 Generals 15, Martin’s Supermarkets Cardinals 4: Joseph Good had two hits and four RBI, Zack Barker one and one and Matt Laughlin one hit for the Generals. Winning pitcher Barker struck out five and reliever Good fanned five. Sebastian Fisher had three hits and three runs, Mateo Machuca two and one and Ricardo Macias one hit for the Cardinals. Fisher and Macias pitched.
Himco Waste-Away Cubs 4, Goshen Professional Firefighters Tigers 1: Leading hitters for the Cubs were Phillip Wertz two hits and two RBI, Eric Newell two hits and two runs, Manuel Castillo one and one and Bryant Robinson one hit. Robinson (four strikeouts) was the winning hurler with relief help from Wertz (three). Carmelo Gomez had two hits, Elliot Nafziger and Hewitt Nafziger both one to lead the Tigers. Elliot Nafziger pitched, striking out 12.

Stutzman Dentistry Diamonds 18, Thunder 5: Kassy Miller and Josie Walters both had two hits for the Diamonds. Winning pitcher Kaitlyn Maust struck out three and reliever Ruthey Whitehead two.
Lake City Bank Bandits 18, Riptide 9: Devin Shipley slapped two hits and McKinsey Sanchez one for the Bandits. Scarlet Fonrouge was the winning pitcher and Kayleigh McKee also pitched.

Jefferson Township Fire Department 4, Jerry’s Standard 1: Conner Graber had three hits, Tyler Evers and Noah Miles both one for Jefferson. Pitcher Jonathon Yousey struck out 12. Keegan Hoag also pitched. Cole Fergison, Drew Fletcher and Blake Horn had hits for Jerry’s. Conner Heerschop (seven strikeouts) and Fergison (five) pitched.

GOSHEN — The Bethel Pilots edged Indiana University-Southeast, 1-0, in the elimination game of the NAIA National Championship in Cleveland, Tennessee. The recent Crossroads League Pitcher of the Year sophomore Natalie Newell (Goshen) hurled a no-hitter for the first-ever no-hitter by Bethel in the NAIA National Tournament.
