500 freestyle record falls at conference meet

Northern Lakes Conference high school boys swimming preliminaries were held Thursday evening at the new Northridge pool.

Terry Peoples of Concord set an NLC record in the 500-yard freestyle.

Diving competition begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with swimming finals at 1 p.m.

Following are the top three qualifiers in each event:
