Many awards for Falcons

Fairfield High School student-athletes in spring sports were honored during a Monday night program.

Following are those earning special awards:

Boys Track


Jake Yoder, most valuable and outstanding sprinter; Chase Pinion, mental attitude; Jake Walter, most improved; Dillon Hinen, outstanding freshman; Tanner Foust, outstanding in field events; Jordan Smeltzer, outstanding distance runner.

Girls Track


Becca Kropf, most valuable; Allison Hostetler, mental attitude and outstanding in field events; Miranda Boyts, most improved; Kelsea Hull, outstanding sprinter; Diamond Setterberg, outstanding distance runner; Emily Beasley, freshman award.

Girls Tennis


Abbey Neff, most valuable player; Marla Yoder, mental attitude; Kaija Wimmer, most improved; Ashley Neff, coach’s award; Kaelin Bender, junior varsity award.

Boys Golf


Brad Shipley, most valuable and most greens in regulation; Brian Ulrich, most valuable and best putter; Miles Kritzman, mental attitude and best fairway play; Nate Kropf, most improved; Joshua Ketcham, JV most improved.

Baseball


Justin Scott, most valuable; Josh Brown, mental attitude; Trent Kauffman, most improved; Eric Smoker, junior varsity award; Colin Holmes, Caleb Yoder and Kyle Cross, team players.

Girls Softball


Kayla Ostrander, most valuable player and most improved; Courtney Herschberger, mental attitude and most runs batted in; Melanie Schrock, golden glove; Amanda Cross, batting average; Morgan Miller, junior varsity award.
