Boys golf results

Warsaw is sectional champ at home



The Wawasee Warriors finished ninth in the Warsaw sectional at Stonehenge Golf Club.

The host Tigers won with a 308 team score, followed by Tippecanoe Valley 326, Triton 335, Bremen 335, Manchester 338, Culver Military 345, Plymouth 347, Southwood 347, Wawasee 348, Northfield 350, Wabash 379 and Culver Community 423.

Josh Troyer of Manchester was medalist with a 75.

For Wawasee, Curtis Coverstone carded a 39-42—81, John Kirkwood 42-42—84, Ben Jackson 40-48—88, Ryan Koble 46-49—95 and Jake Garner 44-51—95.



Homestead captures title at Kendallville



West Noble finished in 12th place in the East Noble sectional at Noble Hawk Golf Links near Kendallville.

Homestead was the winner with a 304, followed by Carroll 308, DeKalb 317, East Noble 325, Columbia City 326, Leo 328, Angola 333, Fremont 334, Whitko 336, Garrett 346, Central Noble 361, West Noble 363, Hamilton 364, Churubusco 381, Lakewood Park Christian 392 and Eastside 397.

Zach Dyer of Columbia City defeated Al Jennings of Homestead in a playoff for medalist honors. Both carded 73s.

For West Noble, Jordan Younce had 39-45—84, Patrick Hazelton 44-45—89, Seth Bontrager 48-46—94, Austin King 44-53—96 and Zachary Parr 45-58—103.
