BOYS X-COUNTRY: West Noble tops conference field

West Noble won the Northeast Corner Conference championship Saturday in Ligonier. Curtis Kent of Angola won in 16:25.

Team scores were West Noble 45, Prairie Heights 68, Angola 79, Fremont 104, Fairfield 136, Hamilton 161, Westview 166, Churubusco 189 and Lakeland 198.

West Noble had Joseph Landeros 3rd, Kevin Handshoe 7th, Jose Ibanez 9th, Matt Price 10th and Jon Weimer 16th.

Fairfield placed Dillon Hinen 14th, Jordan Smeltzer 15th, Ricky Masters 25th, Dustin Hinen 45th and Andy Smith 46th.

Westview had Kyle Baker 6th, Jerry Schwartz 11th and Braidy Bechtel 41st.
