GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP

Concord shut out by Marian



Concord lost to Marian, 3-0, in Mishawaka.

Andrea Wade scored two goals and Shauna Barry one for the winners.

Marian led 20-7 in shots on goal while Concord had a 3-2 advantage in corner kicks. Kayla Werst made 10 keeper saves for Concord and Grace Costello two for Marian.

Concord (8-4-3) meets Elkhart Christian on Monday at 5 p.m. in the Goshen sectional.

Marian was a 5-1 JV winner. Cassidy Field scored for Concord, assisted by Jazzlyn Crase. Yohana Romero made two keeper saves for Concord.



Dragons nip BC



Bethany Christian dropped a 1-0 decision at Argos.

Jami Patterson scored for the winners at 27:41 of the second half, assisted by Stefany Parrish.

Argos led 12-3 in shots on goal and Bethany had a 1-0 edge in corner kicks. Caitlin Fecher made 11 keeper saves for Bethany and Karlee VanDerWeele three for Argos.

Bethany (8-6-3) faces Central Noble on Tuesday in the Bethany sectional.



Strouse, Pizana spark West Noble



West Noble posted a 2-1 victory Wednesday at Garrett.

Sarah Strouse and Brandy Pizana scored goals for the Chargers. Jessica Mata and Diana Canul had assists. Winning goalie Brandy Bechtold made four saves.

West Noble, 6-8-3, meets Warsaw at 7 p.m. Monday in a sectional at Bethany.
