NorthWood advances, Wawasee out in 3A at Columbia City

NorthWood was a 25-20, 15-25, 25-11, 25-17 winner Thursday over Tippecanoe Valley in a Class 3A high school girls volleyball sectional at Columbia City.

Wawasee lost a sizzler to Whitko 12-25, 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 15-9.

Semifinals are Saturday with West Noble meeting Columbia City at 11 a.m., followed at about 12:30 p.m. 16-15 NorthWood and Whitko.

Wawasee finishes 19-15.
