GHS wrestlers 21-0 with win over Warsaw

Goshen High School’s wrestling team remained undefeated with a 49-21 Northern Lakes Conference triumph Thursday at Warsaw.

The Redskins are now 21-0 (6-0 NLC) and their last dual meet is next Wednesday at home against Elkhart Memorial which is also perfect in the conference.

Travis Pickard led off for the Skins with a 6-2 victory at 135 pounds and Andrew Stegelmann won 10-2 at 145.

Troy Pickard won by pin in 59 seconds at 152 and Francisco Garcia by pin in 1:10 at 160.

J.B. Singer prevailed 6-1 at 171 and Brandon Dillenbeck won a 4-3 thriller at 189.

Brandon Daniels won by pin in 5:02 at 215 and Jacob Clark by pin in 3:52 at 275.

Austin Maynard won by pin in 4:33 at 112 and Zack Worcel by pin in 2:33 at 125.

The Redskins host their eight-team invitational Saturday, starting at 9 a.m. It is estimated for finals to begin about 1:30 p.m.
