BRUSHY PRAIRIE — Darin Hochstetler rushed for more than 200 yards for the second game in a row as Fairfield cruised to a 62-7 win at Prairie Heights Friday night.
Hochstetler ran for 227 yards on just 11 carries (20.6 yards per carry) after having rushed for 206 a week ago. Two of his runs went for touchdowns.
Kyle Ostrander added 118 yards on six carries for two touchdowns in just the first half.
Hochstetler also caught two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Chase Pinion completed 11 of 17 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns.
The Falcons amassed 587 total yards for the game.
Fairfield scored three touchdowns in the second quarter and two touchdowns in each of the other three quarters.
Wawasee 26, Garrett 21
Wawasee scored early Friday night and held on for a 26-21 non-conference win over Garrett at WHS in Syracuse.
Kyle Clevenger kicked a 29-yard field goal for the Warriors in the first quarter and Andrew Hepler ran 55 yards for a touchdown.
Trevor McKibbin tallied on a 2-yard run, Clevenger kicked a 27-yard field goal and Tyler Hare tallied on a 3-yard run for a 26-7 Wawasee lead.
NorthWood 26, CMA 7
NorthWood scored in every quarter Friday night for a 26-7 victory at Culver Military.
Zac Coleman tallied on a 25-yard run in the first quarter, Coy Brown on a 27-yard run in the second, Brandon Snodgrass on a 53-yard pass from Coleman in the third and Derek Yoder on a 35-yard pass from Coleman in the fourth.
