Olga S. Gouin, 87, 1801 Greencroft Blvd., Goshen, died Wednesday at 9:32 p.m. at Greencroft Healthcare. She had been in failing health for the past five years.

She was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Wilno, Poland, to Alexander and Maria (Pedajova) Mahony.

She married Roland A. Gouin May 5, 1959. He survives.

Also surviving are her daughter, Liliane Maria Welty, Atlanta, Ga.; three sons, Daniel (Judy) Martinsky, Elkhart, Michel (Monique) Martinsky, Pontaul Gombaul, France, and Marc (Georgia) Gouin, Goshen; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and close family member, Daniele McDonald, Goshen;

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Nicholas Mahony; and a sister, Anastasia Serikow.

She worked as a nurses aid for the Red Cross in Europe during World War II. She worked for Kodak in France and in final finish and inspection for Starcraft after her arrival in the United States in 1969. She became a homemaker after marriage. She was a member of the Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Goshen.

Friends may call Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, where a prayer service will take place at 5 p.m.

There will be a prayer service Monday morning at 8 a.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Monday at the Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Goshen. The Rev. Daniel Marshall of the church will lead the service.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
