Goldie Elizabeth Ramer

March 25, 1914-Jan. 6, 2013

WAKARUSA — Goldie Elizabeth Ramer, 98, 303 N. Washington St., died Sunday at 6:45 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born March 25, 1914 in Goshen, to Christian B. and Minnie (Kreider) Huber.

She married Edward Ramer Feb. 1, 1936. He died Sept. 18,1978.

She is survived by a son, Dean (Julie) Ramer, Goshen; daughter, Mary (Larry) Kirkdorffer, Milford; grandchildren, Kevin (Cheryl) Ramer, Randy (Theresa) Ramer and Lonnie (Laura) Ramer, all of Goshen, Connie (Bradley) Eby, Nappanee, Christine (Steven) Dahlgren, Riverside, Calif., and Cheryl (Randall) Miller, Milford; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild, Lynn Ramer; great-grandchild, Curtis Ramer; and two brothers, Frank and John Huber.

She worked at the Old Bag Factory, Wolfberg’s and as a nanny, but she was a homemaker for most of her life. She loved to sew and do hand work and was quilting up until the week she died. She was a member of Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren in Goshen.  

Friends may call Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117  W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Saturday at Yellow Creek Chruch of the Brethren, 65575 C.R. 11, Goshen. The Rev. Mark Bendes of the church will officiate.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren.
