Caroline M. Schooley

Feb. 26, 1924-Feb. 4, 2013

ELKHART — Caroline M. Schooley, 88, passed away Monday at Hubbard Hill Estates.

She was born Feb. 26, 1924 in Goshen, to John and Irene (Kohl) Rimpler.

She married Morris C. Schooley Feb. 24, 1946, in Goshen. He died Oct. 3, 1987 in Elkhart.

Surviving are three children, James M. Schooley of Elkhart, Lois K. (Don) Webster of Goshen, and Janet E. (Jerry) Jenkins of Anderson; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jon David Schooley, who died in 1963; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Anne Webster, who died in 1970.

Caroline was a member of the Brenneman Missionary Church in Goshen. She enjoyed music and loved playing the piano and organ and watching Perry Mason on TV. She was employed for 22 years at Goshen Rubber Company and also worked as secretary to the pastor at the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church. She retired in the early 1980s.

Visitation will be from noon until the 1 p.m. funeral service Thursday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart. The Revs. Marvin Engbrecht and Norm Reimer will preside at the service.

Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church.
