James S. Cummings

Aug. 23, 1924-March 15, 2013

Howe — James S. Cummings, 88, died Friday at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.

On April 30, 1983, he married Lou Ann (Terry) Schmidt. She survives in Howe.

Also surviving are a daughter, Abigail (Michael) Koppel, Buffalo Grove, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Beverly (David) Nelson, Howe, and Virginia (Chris) Warble, LaGrange; two stepsons, Daniel Schmidt, Byron Center, Mich., and David Schmidt, Howe.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St. LaGrange.

Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange.
