Joshua Shawn Lampen

Sept. 7, 1982-May 15, 2012

WESTWOOD, N.J. — Joshua Shawn Lampen, 29, of Westwood, N.J. and formerly of Otsego, Mich. and Cromwell, Ind., passed away unexpectedly as the result of an automobile accident on May 15.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1982 in South Bend, Ind..

He is survived by his parents, Darwin and Linda Lampen, Otsego, and Jan Smith, Cromwell; a sister, Emily Gilbert; a niece, Alexis Gilbert; nephews, Braden and Bryce Kreager, and Parker Gilbert; one great nephew, Bentley Kreager; and a grandmother, Colleen Kreager of Cromwell. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Colby Kreager, in 2006; a grandmother, Orpha Jones; a grandfather, George Kreager; and a cousin, Tricia Feltner.

Josh was full of life and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, snow skiing and jet skiing, or just hanging out. He was previously employed by Redman Homes, Dutchmen, Monitor and CSM in New Jersey. Josh was currently enrolled in the Diver’s Academy for underwater welding.

A celebration of life service with Pastor Kevin Smith will be held on today at 2 p.m. at Friendship Wesleyan Church, 1285 102nd Avenue, Plainwell, Mich. A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

A visitation will also be held on Monday from 2 to 9 p.m. at the Ligonier United Methodist Church.

A farewell service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Ligonier United Methodist Church with Pastor Byron Kaiser officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan, Mich.
