Ida C. Stutzman

Nov. 1, 1920-May 25, 2012

MIDDLEBURY —  Ida C. Stutzman, 91, died at 10:06 p.m. Friday at her residence.

She was born Nov. 1, 1920, in Haven, Kan., to Christian M. and Lydia C. (Miller) Miller.

On Dec. 25, 1941, in Middlebury, she married Harry J. Stutzman. He died Aug. 9, 1992.

Ida’s family includes six sons, Kenneth Jay (Erma) Stutzman, Joe (Ruth Ann) Stutzman, Howard (Lena) Stutzman, all of Middlebury, Harry, Jr. (Velda) Stutzman of Shipshewana, David (Ida) Stutzman, Jerry (Lori) Stutzman, both of Middlebury; four daughters, Mary Bontrager, Martha Miller-deceased (son-in-law, Melvin (Mary Ann) Miller), Barb (LaVern J.) Miller, Esther Bender, all of Middlebury; 43 grandchildren; and 98 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Martha Miller; sons-in-law, Eli Bontrager and David Bender; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Manas Miller, Chris Miller and Bill Miller; and six sisters, Barb Troyer, Lizzie Beachy, Mary Yoder, Sue Yoder, Julie Ann Miller and Polly Christner.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday and all day Monday at the LaVern Miller Residence, 0075 South 1150 West, Middlebury.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the same residence. Services will be conducted by Bishop Daniel J. Yoder and the home ministers.

Burial will be in Miller-Glick-Stutzman Cemetery, Middlebury.

Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury, is assisting the family with arrangements.
