Irene B. Hilty

July 28, 1962-Jan. 21, 2013

SHIPSHEWANA — Irene B. Hilty, 50, died at 8:54 a.m. Monday at Parkview Hospital LaGrange.

She was born July 28, 1962 in Berne, to Ernest B. and Barbara (Schwartz) Schwartz.

On June 25, 1987, she married Willis R. Hilty, who survives.

Those who survive, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Emily Hilty of Shipshewana; a son, Lyle Ray Hilty of Shipshewana; her mother, Barbara Schwartz of Berne; a sister, Martha (Sam J.) Hilty; and two brothers, Larry (Irene) Hilty of Monroe and Leroy (Barbara) Hilty of Berne.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Mrs. Hilty was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

Friends may call all day today at the family residence, 6380 W. 200 North, Shipshewana.

Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, also at the family residence. Bishop Vernon Slabach will lead the services.

Burial will be in East Barren Cemetery, Shipshewana.
