Cynthia ‘Cindy’ S. Cataldo

June 12, 1961-May 6, 2012

GOSHEN — Cynthia “Cindy” S. Cataldo, 50, passed away Sunday at Memorial Hospital of South Bend.

She was born on June 12, 1961, to Walter Lantz and Ann Lee (Reed) Priebe.

Cindy was a graduate of Penn High School and attended Ferris State University.  Cindy was a teacher at Trinity Lutheran School, and considered her greatest gifts to be her children, family and Trinity Lutheran Church and School. She enjoyed volleyball, teaching, and was very involved with her family, children and her church.

Cindy married Michael Cataldo on May 27, 1987.

She is survived by her parents, Ken and Ann Priebe of Mishawaka; a son, Michael Cataldo; daughter, Kelsey Cataldo; and two brothers, Robert (Theresa) Priebe of Edwardsburg, Mich., and James (Christine) Priebe of Granger.  

She was preceded in death by a brother, Reed Lantz; her father Walter Lantz; and a daughter, Carly Cataldo.

Friends may call for two hours prior to the 3 p.m. service Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, located on C.R. 6 in Elkhart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cindy Cataldo Scholarship Fund at Trinity Lutheran School to help underprivileged children be able to attend.

Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home, Elkhart, is assisting with arrangements.
