Daniel ‘Dan’ R. Rohrer

BRISTOL — Daniel “Dan” R. Rohrer, 68, of Bristol, passed away at 9:16 p.m. Monday (Oct. 23, 2012) at Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Jan. 7, 1944 in Elkhart to Richard and Eileen (Ryan) Rohrer.

On June 28, 1969 in Elkhart he married Diana E. Vargo. She survives along with three children, Danielle R. Garcia of Bristol, Darren D. Rohrer of Warsaw, Dawn (Chris) Cubbernuss of Cassopolis, Mich.; three grandchildren, Aurelio, Isabela and Brandon. Also surviving is his mother, Eileen Rohrer of Elkhart and a sister, Diana (Richard) Kuhn of Bremen.

His father, Richard Rohrer preceded him in death.

Dan graduated in 1962 from Elkhart High School and was a member of the National Guard. He was a member of Creekside Church of the Brethren and he enjoyed bowling and golfing. Dan was formerly employed at The Selmer Company for 23 years and was the owner of Dan’s Lawn Service and was known as Dan the Lawn Mower Man.

A celebration of life gathering will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday (Nov. 17, 2012) at the Creekside Church of the Brethren, 60455 C.R. 113, Elkhart. Pastor Rosanna McFadden and Pastor Betty Kelsey will officiate the service.

Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral home is entrusted with arrangements.

Burial has taken place at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.
