Robert L. Schlarb

LIGONIER — Robert L. Schlarb, 63, passed away Saturday at 6:56 p.m. at Parkview Hospital Randalia of Fort Wayne.

He was born Dec. 28, 1948, to Delbert and Maxine (Darr) Schlarb in South Bend. On Sept. 11, 1980, he married Lucinda Brunner in Millersburg.

Robert was an outdoorsman who loved camping. He was a member of Stones Trace Regulators. He was also a Vietnam veteran having served in the army. Bob was a collector who loved to make things. He loved his grandsons and family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy, Ligonier; three children, Charlotte (Scott) Combs, Greenwood, William Shoopman, Ligonier, and Jon Schlarb, Goshen; three grandsons, Chasen Shoopman, Chris Barton and Justin Shoopman; a sister, Cathy (Bruce) Barwick, Elkhart; and two brothers, Terry Weiss, Rochester, and David (Rita) Schlarb, Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life visitation will be held Thursday from 1 to 7 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Licolnway South, Ligonier. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center, Ligonier.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Legion.

Yeager Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
