Ronald R. Dyer

June 26, 1942-Feb. 2, 2012

GOSHEN — Ronald R. Dyer, 69, died at 1:31 a.m. Thursday at his home.  

He was born June 26, 1942 in Princeton, Ill., to Harvey and Kathleen (Underwood) Dyer.

He married Diana Hutchcraft, who survives.  Also surviving are five daughters, Tamara Dyer of Montana, Kimberly (Rodney) Schrader of Illinois, Lynne Dyer of Goshen, Sherri and Kelli Dyer, both of Elkhart; five  granddaughters; two grandsons; one brother, Terry Dyer of Rock Falls, Ill.; and two sisters, Linda Castro of Galesburg, Ill., and Debra Russell of McComb, Ill.  

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Ron retired in 2005 from Pioneer Hybrid Seed Company, where he was employed for 24 years.  He enjoyed feeding the wild animals who would visit his property.

A private memorial dinner for family and friends will take place at a later date.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice Care-Elkhart or the American Cancer Society.
