Dean E. Myers

GOSHEN — Dean E. Myers, 63, of Goshen, died Friday, Dec. 28, at 8:51 a.m. at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Indianapolis.

He was born Oct. 2, 1949 in Goshen to Helen M. (Sechrist) and Forrest L. Myers.

He is survived by two sisters, Rachel (David) Wise, Goshen, and Karen (David) Pierce, Indianapolis; a nephew, Michael (Heather) Pierce, Danville; one great-niece, Sophia Pierce, Danville; and one great-nephew, Nathaniel Pierce, Danville.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War, and he was discharged in 1972. He was an owner/operator trucker, and a member of the VFW Post 985 and the American Legion, both in Goshen. He was a 1967 graduate of Wakarusa High School.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1 at Rieth Rohrer Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, as well as one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service to be held Wednesday, Jan. 2.

The Rev. Lenny Krebs will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.
