Robert P. Lawton

June 2, 1967-Dec. 29, 2012

GOSHEN — Robert P. Lawton, 45, of Goshen,  died at 7 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph High School, Mishawaka. His death was unexpected, but he had suffered from a long term illness.

On Oct. 14, 2000 in Middlebury he married Meribethe Groves, she survives.

Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, Freddie Lawton of South Bend and his mother Doris Lawton of South Bend.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, Middlebury. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service Thursday at First United Methodist Church, Middlebury.

Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
