Etta C. Weaver

March 9, 1915-Jan. 26, 2013

WAKARUSA — Etta C. Weaver, 97, 300 N. Washington St., died Saturday at 6:45 p.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

She was born March 9, 1915 in Goshen, Harrison Township, to John F. and Clara Etta (Dausman) Buzzard. A graduate of Wakarusa High School, she married Otis L. Weaver Feb. 22, 1936. He died May 1, 1997.

She is survived by her daughters, Charlene (Donald) Farmwald, Carolyn Graber and Jan (Gary) Ramer, all of Goshen; sons, Kenneth (Dolores) Weaver, Middlebury, and Ron (Shirleen) Weaver, Wakarusa; 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a great-grandson; brothers, Mearl, Carl, Wayne and Harold Buzzard; and sisters, Lela Yoder, Gladys Yoder and Marian Sellers.

She was a homemaker and a member of Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, where she took part in the sewing circle.

She enjoyed gardening flowers, quilting and cooking for her family.

There will be a time of visitation with the family Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the 10:30 a.m. funeral service, all at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen. The Revs. Wes Bontreger and Katie Cunningham, both of the church, will lead the service.

Burial will be in Yellow Creek Cemetery.
