Pauline Elizabeth (Brendle) Weaver, 94, died Monday at 1:55 a.m. at her daughter’s residence.
She was born March 20, 1918 in East Earl, Pa., to Israel W. and Leah S. (Martin) Brendle. She graduated from New Holland High School and moved to Nappanee in 1948 from Pennsylvania.
Pauline married Isaac G. Weaver Nov. 2, 1941 in Lancaster County, Pa. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1989.
She worked with her husband in farming and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem Mennonite Church in New Paris and enjoyed contributing to the Sewing Circle there. She also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth L. (Janet) Weaver of Fort Wayne; daughters, Pauline W. (Cary) Habegger and Connie L. (Dennis) Stichter, both of Lebanon, Pa., and Charlotte A. (Mike Hoover) Weaver of Goshen; daughter-in-law, Sherry Weaver of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Brendle of Lititz, Pa., Louisa Lehman of Lancaster, Pa., Ruth Kauffman of Ephrata, Pa., and Marian (Darrel) Hostetler of Goshen; and sister-in-law, Alma Brendle of Goodville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by a son, Leon B. Weaver, who died Sept. 2, 2001; brother, Melvin Brendle; and sisters, Irma Hoober and Arlene Martin.
Friends and family may call Friday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, and Saturday one hour prior to the 2 p.m. service at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church, Goshen. The Rev. Terrill Yoder of Salem Mennonite Church will lead the service.
Burial will follow at Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salem Mennonite Church for the Women’s Sewing Circle.
