ELKHART — Frances M. Zimmerman, 84, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born March 6, 1928 in Goshen, to Lawrence R. and Cora (Pearson) Hoke.
On Sept. 30, 1944 in Goshen, she married Floyd Zimmerman Jr. He preceded her in death July 1, 2009 in Elkhart.
Surviving are two sons, Stephen R. (Phyllis) Zimmerman of Elkhart, and Danny K. (Paula) Zimmerman of Constantine, Mich.; two daughters, Rita (John) Batiz of Mishawaka, and Shawnie (Jim Panagopoulos) Nickoson of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; brother, James Hoke of Elkhart; and a sister, Mary Andrews of Florida.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward, LeRoy and Donald Hoke; and four sisters, Lillian Hoke, Lucille Brubaker, Betty Williams and Gertrude Loomis.
Frances was member of the Northside Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed reading her bible, crocheting and playing table games.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday at Northside Church of the Nazarene in Elkhart. The Rev. Tim Sheets will preside.
Burial will follow in Yellow Creek Cemetery, Goshen.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Church.
