GOSHEN — Grace E. Master, 89, died early Friday morning at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.
She was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Marcellus, Mich., to William Eggleston and Ethel (Boyer) Slessman. She married Lester LeRoy Master Dec. 15, 1939, in Elkhart. He died April 3, 2002.
She is survived by six daughters, Betty Ann (Arden) Mabie, Osceola, and Pamela (Kenneth) Kauffman, Joyce (Roger) Kauffman, Rita (Roger) Hershberger, Susan (George) Perez and Rhonda (Loren) Bixler, all of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Velma (Wayne) Yoder and Helen Leighton, both of Elkhart.
She was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Paul Master; three sisters, Ruth Taylor, Alice Fry and Dorothy VanHook; and eight brothers, Richard, Roland, Wayne, Edward, Roscoe, Howard, Ralph and Earl Eggleston.
A Goshen resident since 1950, Mrs. Master was a member of LifePoint Church, Goshen.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Tuesday. Pastor Troy Scott, LifePoint Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.
