Ella Klatt

March 28, 1931-Aug. 1, 2012

GOSHEN — Ella Klatt, 81, passed into the arms of Jesus late Wednesday morning after a two-month illness.

She was born March 28, 1931 in Ilow, Poland, to Gustav and Bertha (Pankratz) Pretzlaff.

She married Eberhard Klatt March 26, 1953, in Goshen. He preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2007.

She is survived by three daughters, Elizabeth (Kim) Mark, Fremont, Calif., Nancy Klatt, Matthews, N.C., and Kathy (Tim) Nowak, Elkhart; a son, Richard (Mary Ellen) Klatt, Ridley Park, Penn.; four grandchildren, Randy (Brittany) Nowak, Brian, Kevin and Mary Klatt; and two sisters, Emily Perersdorf, Flensburg, Germany and Alma Foth, Cedarburg, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and seven sisters.

A Goshen resident since 1951, Mrs. Klatt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and worked at Goshen Rubber for 30 years.

Friends may call 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen, where a 10 a.m. funeral service will be conducted Monday. Pastor John Hickey of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate.

Burial will follow in Violett Cemetery, Goshen.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or Harbor Light Hospice.
