Ira Miller

Oct. 3, 1945-Oct. 8, 2012

WOLCOTTVILLE —  Ira Miller, 67,  passed away  Monday at Wyant Woods Care Center in Akron, Ohio.

He was born on Oct. 3, 1945, to William A. and Anna (Petershien) Miller in Topeka.

He married Carol Bauman Aug. 15, 1965.

Ira was a truck driver. He had also worked as a dairy farmer and tour bus driver.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Miller of Wolcottville; a son, Ross A. (Lorena) Miller of Goshen; a daughter, Yolanda J. Pawlyshyn of Naples, Fla.; three grandchildren, Matthew, Brianna and Makayla; three sisters, Martha Miller of Goshen, Barbara (Allen) Sharick of Shipshewana and Dora (Larry) Zook of Wolcottville; and one brother, Edgar (Phyllis) Miller of White Pigeon, Mich.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ella Joan Miller.

There will be a time of visitation Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier.

A funeral service will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. at New Life Fellowship, 2755 Ind. 5, Topeka, with the Rev. Larry Byrnes officiating.

Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be directed to McLean/Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center, McLean Hospital, 115 Mill St., Belmont, MA 02478.
