Floyd H. Cripe

WAKARUSA —

Floyd H. Cripe, 94, 300 N. Washington St., formerly of C.R. 42, Wakarusa, died Tuesday at 9:42 a.m. at Miller’s Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

He was born June 10, 1916 in Nappanee to Jacob and Laura (Miller) Cripe.

He was a farmer and seed corn salesman and a member of Salem Mennonite Church.

He married Ruth (Hunsberger) Cripe April 5, 1944. She died June 15, 1996.

He is survived by a son, Max E. (Phyllis) Cripe, Elkhart; a daughter, Jane M. (Adlai) Schrock, Goshen; four grandchildren, Jody (Troy) Barber, Bristol, Mark (Katy) Cripe, Dublin, Ohio, Jeff (Ann) Schrock, Elkhart, and Marla (Brian) Current, Indianapolis; and six great-grandchildren, Madelynn, Jacqueline, Benjamin, Sophia, Carter, and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Royer and Wilma Crist; and a brother, Delbert Cripe.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Home Ministry officiating.

Burial will be in Olive (West) Cemetery.
