NAPPANEE — Betty Lou (Stutzman) Yoder, 77, died Friday at 10:21 a.m. at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was born July 6, 1932, to Delbert and Mary Jane (Miller) Stutzman.
She retired from International Baker’s Service, South Bend. A member of Nappanee United Methodist Church, she worked as a volunteer in the Methodist Thrift Shop. She was an avid reader and enjoyed her cup of tea while reading.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis Yoder, Nappanee; daughter, Melissa Stanton, Elkhart; two sons, Philip (Trish) Johnson, Midlothian, Ill., and Timothy (Pam) Kolacz, Evansville; stepson, Kent (Linda) Yoder, Traveler’s Rest, S.C.; stepdaughter, Karen (Peter) Wingrove, Wexford, Pa.; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Masterson, The Villages, Fla., and Sally (Dean) Guard, Nappanee; and three brothers, Eugene (Jean) Stutzman, North Webster; William (Carol) Stutzman, Rolling Meadows, Ill., and Gary (Terry) Stutzman, Charlotte, N.C.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Duehning, Poway, Calif.; son, Michael Johnson, Oregon; and brothers, Oliver Stutzman, Nappanee, and Olen (Marilee) Stutzman, Chula Vista, Calif.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. memorial service to celebrate Betty’s life June 28 at Nappanee United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Nappanee United Methodist Church.
