Irma L. Shank

GOSHEN — Irma L. Shank, 92, 1225 Greencroft Drive, formerly of C.R. 30, Elkhart, died Thursday at 7:45 a.m. at Greencroft Health Care.

She was born Feb. 2, 1920 in Alberta, Canada, to Noah and Minnie (Holderbaum) Leinbach.

She married Jacob W. Shank June 22, 1941, at her parents home. He died Feb. 2, 2005.

She is survived by her son, Ronald (Marlene) Shank, Goshen; sisters, Fern Yontz and Betty Herendeen, both of Goshen; two grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Catherine Walter, Louida Mishler; and brothers, Maurice, Kenneth, Noah Leinbach Jr. and Lloyd Leinbach.

She was a homemaker and a factory worker at Crown International for 25 years.

Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, 117 W. Waterford St., Wakarusa, and one hour prior to the 3 p.m. funeral service Sunday at Olive Mennonite Church. The Revs. Kevin and Sharon Yoder will officiate.

Burial will be in Olive West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Olive Mennonite Church for missions.
