Shirley J. Butler

April 14, 1935-April 24, 2012

GOSHEN —  Shirley J. Butler, 77, passed away Tuesday evening at Courtyard Healthcare.

She was born April 14, 1935 in Somerton, Ohio, to Farrell and Edith (Sullivan) Moore. She married Billy Joe Butler in 1952 in Texas. He died in July 2011.

She is survived by three daughters, Connie Craden, St. Louis, Mo., Lynn (John) Howard, Goshen, and Lori (Paul) Cross, Silver Lake, Ohio; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sheila Soucy, St. Louis, Mo., and Marilyn Osborne, Westerville, Ohio; and a brother, Jerry (Carolyn) Moore, Fort Worth, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Sherrie Lynn Butler.

A homemaker, Mrs. Butler had been in and out of the area since 1979. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and needlework. She adored her family.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.

Services will be private. Cremation will take place at Yoder-Culp Crematory and burial will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
