Laura Mae Schmucker

ETNA GREEN —  Laura Mae Schmucker, 84, died at 7:35 a.m. Monday at her home.

She was born July 23, 1928, to Martin and Barbara (Hershberger) Schmucker in Locke Township.

Laura Mae was a lifetime area resident. She had been a factory worker and did babysitting. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She is survived by her brothers, Eli Schmucker, Chaparral, N.M., Herman (Ruthie) Schmucker, Auburn, Ky., Mahlon (Mary) Schmucker, Macy, Daniel (Esther) Schmucker, Clarence (Lydia Ann) Schmucker and John (Tillie) Schmucker, all of Franklin, Ky., and Joseph (Carol) Schmucker, Hutchinson, Kan.; sisters, Katie (Henry) Mast, Pittsford, Mich., Elizabeth (Menno) Kuhns, Drakesville, Iowa, Sylvia (Marvin) Mast, Etna Green, and Ida (Mahlon) Wagler, Hutchinson, Kan.; 66 nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, three nephews and two nieces.

Family and friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday and all day Wednesday at the Marvin Mast residence, 8178 W. 640 North, Etna Green, where funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday. Bishops Edward Miller and Walter Schwartz and the home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Graber Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Victor Schwartz, Melvin Schwartz, John Otto, Michael Miller, Carl Kuhns and Myron Miller.
