Ray C. Painter, 53, of Elkhart passed away at 9:05 a.m. on Tuesday at his home. He was born Jan. 19, 1960 in Elkhart to Betty (Wyant) Painter.
Surviving is a brother, Jeffrey Painter; and four cousins, Pamela Lanway, Richard Pressler, Michael Pressler and Kathy Kennedy.
Ray was preceded in death by his mother Betty, a brother Stephen Miller and a sister Debra Miller.
Ray loved fishing, hunting, bowling and spending time with his family.
Visitation for Ray will be held on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart.
Cremation will take place and burial will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
