Gladys May Morningstar

March 3, 1918-Feb. 6, 2013

GOSHEN — Gladys May Morningstar, 94, died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Greencroft Goshen Health Care.

She was born to Myrtle (Weaver) and Joe Hygema, in St. Joseph County on March 3, 1918.

She was preceded in death by her parents and Mervin Morningstar, the father of their children.

She is survived by three daughters, Fern (Gene) Wainescott, of Curtis, Wis., Rosetta (Arthur) Schieber, of Union, Mich. and Charlotte Blosser, of Syracuse; and one sister, Dorothy Hart of Marion; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Gladys worked at IXL and Homecrest. She was a member of the Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren and the Concord Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafts and sewing.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret-Lienhart Funeral Home, Wakarusa and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Saturday at Yellow Creek Church of the Brethren, Goshen. The Rev. Mark Bendes will preside.

Burial will be at Yellow Creek Cemetery.
