Barbara Ann Lehman

Aug. 25, 1929-Feb. 7, 2013

WAWAKA — Barbara Ann Lehman, age 83, of Wawaka, Ind., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at her home as the result of natural causes.

She was born on Aug. 25, 1929, in Kendallville to Hilda (Bowman) and Harold Reichard.  

She retired from Johnson Controls in Goshen as a quality control inspector and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ligonier.

Survivors include one son, Barry (Betty) Thompson of Wawaka, Ind.; one daughter, Deborah (Marty) Haugen of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren, Lawanna Thompson, Terry Morris, Tina Thompson, Wade Thompson, Chris Thompson and Mitch Thompson; 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Virginia) Reichard of Wawaka, Ind., and Harold Thomas (Pat) Reichard of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one sister, Elizabeth Lemon, of Wawaka, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Thompson; a great-grandson, Anthony Carter; sisters, Shirley Nicodemus and Evelyn Leitch; and a brother, Neil Reichard.

A funeral service will be held at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, Ind., in Barbara’s honor on Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at 3 p.m. with Pastor Terry Hines of Liberty Free Will Baptist church. Burial will follow at Rosehill cemetery in Albion, Ind.

Friends and family will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions may be directed to the American Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N Michigan Ave Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
