Louise K. Guthrie

Louise K. Guthrie, 55, 1911 Mayfield Drive, Goshen, formerly of Fishers and South Bend, died Sunday at 6:31 a.m. at her residence, where she had lived the last seven years. She had been ill with cancer the last two-and-a-half years.

She was born Nov. 2, 1954 in Noblesville, to Bernard G. and Carolyn (Langsford) Klotz. She married Thomas L. Guthrie Aug. 2, 1975.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Kimberly S. (Brian) Curry, Madison, Ala., and Christina L. Guthrie, Mishawaka; four sons, David T. Guthrie, South Bend, Steven M. Guthrie, Mishawaka, Keith E. Guthrie and Brian P. Guthrie, both of Goshen; three sisters, Tina (Joe) Cary, Longmont, Colo., Jean (David) Clayton, Guthrie, Okla., and Cathi (Carl) Henry, Franklin; four brothers, Charles B. (Margie) Klotz, Frank (Patrice) Klotz, California, Andrew J. (Debbie) Klotz, Carmel, and George M. Klotz, Guthrie, Okla.; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother.

She worked as a professor at Ivy Tech Community College, Elkhart. She was a member of TACTYC (Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges) and was active the Boy Scouts in Goshen. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, Goshen, where a Rosary service will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral service will take place Friday at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Goshen. The Rev. Chris Smith of the church will lead the service.

Burial will be in Violett Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics, Right to Life or the American Cancer Society.
