Amos M. Yoder

EDWARDSBURG, Mich. — Amos M. Yoder, 87, died Thursday at 2:10 a.m. at Riverside Village, Elkhart, Ind.

He was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Etna Green, Ind., to Monroe J. and Emma (Slabaugh) Yoder.

He married Barbara Unley April 13, 1952, in Goshen, Ind. She survives along with two sons, Kerry Yoder, Edwardsburg, and Gary Yoder, Goshen; two daughters, Helen (Farish) Howard, Goshen, and Joan (Robert) Jones, Elkhart; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ann (Jerry) Bontrager, Shipshewana, Ind., Emma (Mahlon) Eash, Ohio, Elizabeth (Jerry) Mast, Goshen, Ind., and Sylvia (Chris) Bontrager, Shipshewana; and two brothers, Henry M. (Polly) Yoder and Monroe (Susan) Yoder, both of Goshen.

Mr. Yoder was a retired bricklayer. He was a member of the Indiana-Kentucky Bricklayers Union; Disabled American Veterans Life Member Post 15 Goshen; and American Legion Post 365 Edwardsburg. He a veteran of the United States Army.
