Amanda E. Kuhns

July 4, 1928-Feb. 26, 2013

ETNA GREEN —  Amanda E. Kuhns, 84, 7426 W. 850 North, died of natural causes at 2:42 a.m. Tuesday at her residence.

She was born July 4, 1928 in Kosciusko County, to Pete and Emma (Mullet) Graber.

Mrs. Kuhns lived her lifetime in this area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church in Nappanee.

On Oct. 1, 1964, she married Eli Kuhns.

She is survived by her husband; daughter, Pauline Faye Kuhns, Etna Green; sons, Alton Jay (Treva) Kuhns and Ernest Lee (SuEtta) Kuhns, both of Etna Green, and LaVern Dean (Arlene) Kuhns, Goshen; 20 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Dorothea Gingerich, Riverside, Iowa, Mary (Olen) Schrock, Kalona, Iowa, Ruth (Joseph) Graber, Spooner, Wis., Susie (Homer) Hershberger, Leon, Iowa, and Martha (Enos) Kaufman, Etna Green; and brothers, Paul (Anna) Graber, Guthrie, Ky., and Ralph (Sharon) Graber, Fort Worth, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jacob Graber; and a brother-in-law, Jacob Gingerich.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today and all day Thursday at the family residence. Funeral services will take place at the Marvin Miller residence, 8903 N. 800 West, Etna Green, at 9:30 a.m. Friday. The home ministers of the Old Order Amish Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Graber Cemetery.
