Faye D. Jacobs

GOSHEN — Faye D. Jacobs, 66, died Friday evening at Golden Living Center Nursing Home where she had been since May 2011.

She was born March 12, 1946, in Elkhart, to the late Clifford and Naomi Anita (Rice) Gilbert. She married James Clifton Jacobs Jr. Oct. 4, 1965. He died Aug. 10, 1995.

She is survived by a daughter, Rebecca (Knapp) Carter, Middlebury; two sons, James C. Jacobs, South Bend, and Jonathon Paul Jacobs, Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Johnathon and Keith Carter and Hannah Puryear; and two great-grandchildren, Patrick Wright and Kamden Carter.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Ferrior and Nina Rummel; and three brothers, John, Clifford and Ronald Gilbert.

A 1966 graduate of Elkhart High School and a homemaker, Mrs. Jacobs was affiliated with Oaklawn for the last 30 years.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the 6 p.m. funeral service Tuesday at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen.  

Following the service, cremation will take place.
