Michael David Weatherby

May 16, 1968-Feb. 24, 2013

BREMEN —  Michael David Weatherby 44, died unexpectedly Sunday morning at Bremen Community Hospital.

He was born May 16, 1968 in Alma, Mich., to Roland Lewis and Dorothy Jean (French) Weatherby Jr.

He is survived by his parents; three daughters, Kendra Leann Fox, Big Rapids, Mich., Kylee Rachael Weatherby, Bremen, and Cassie Weatherby, Alma, Mich.; a son, Kaylob M. Dowsett, Bremen; and a sister, Renee Frost, Goshen.

He had lived in Goshen and Boise, Idaho, before settling in Bremen three years ago.

Mike was an expert mason and was well-known for being dedicated and detailed in his work.  He was an accomplished shade-tree mechanic, who thoroughly enjoyed working on automobiles. Mike enjoyed many outdoor activities, including fresh water fishing and snowmobiling. His outgoing and warm personality made everyone around him feel accepted and at ease.

Honoring Mike’s expressed wish, his body will be cremated at Yoder-Culp Crematory, Goshen. A memorial service will take place Friday at 5 p.m. at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Bremen Post 8972.
