Ann Woodworth

TOPEKA — Ann Woodworth, 71, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

She went to be with the Lord following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Dec. 4, 1940, to Donald and Carol (Simes) Colby, in Dayton, Ohio.

On Nov. 15, 1963, she was married to Jerry Woodworth.

He survives, with three children, Tony (Eva) Woodworth, Woodruff, Juli Woodworth, Indianapolis, and Carla (Pascual) Hernandez, Carmel; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Megan, both at home; two stepgrandchildren, JJ Shepherd, Milford, and Angela Mosley, Ligonier; a sister, Becky Colby, Wolcottville; and a brother, Don Colby, Elkhart.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Ann was a faithful member of the Topeka Mennonite Church and the Topeka Lions Club. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Sealed Power in LaGrange for more than 15 years. She will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  

Visitation is planned at Topeka Mennonite Church, 206 E. Lake St., Thursday from 2 to 7 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at noon Friday at the church with Pastor Robert Martz officiating.

Cremation will follow at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center, Ligonier.

A private family burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Topeka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care, Topeka Mennonite Church or Topeka Lions Club.
