James L. Slabaugh

March 1, 1948-Feb. 6, 2012

NAPPANEE — James L. Slabaugh, 63, 402 Northwood Circle, died at 1:02 p.m. Monday at Lakeland Loving Care Center, Milford.

He was born March 1, 1948 in Elkhart, to Lowell R. and June L. Haines Slabaugh. He married Mary J. Knobel May 25, 1985. She preceded him in death in 1991.

Mr. Slabaugh attended Northwood Chapel in Nappanee.

He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Jo (Terry Witcher) Francis, Bristol; his mother, June L. Slabaugh, Nappanee; four grandchildren; and his brothers, Russell Dean (Peggy) Slabaugh, Lake Zurich, Ill., Steve Slabaugh, Nappanee, and Michael (Shirley) Slabaugh, Hindman, Ky.

Family and friends may call Saturday from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. The Rev. Larry Pletcher, pastor at Northwood Chapel, will officiate.

Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
