Wilma E. Yoder

NAPPANEE — Wilma E. Yoder, 76, 8314 W. 1050 North, died unexpectedly from natural causes Wednesday at 10:10 p.m. at South Bend Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 15, 1936 in Marshall County, to Emery E. and Fannie (Chupp) Miller.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

She married Ivan J. Yoder Oct. 24, 1957. He preceded her in death Oct. 19, 2004.

She is survived by her sons, Glenn R. (Ruby) Yoder and Steven J. (Kathleen) Yoder, both of Etna Green, Dennis E. (Ruth Ann) Yoder, Goshen, and Carl D. (Ruby) Yoder, Etna Green; daughters, Carolyn (Earl L.) Miller, Nappanee, and Brenda (Doug) Sparks, New Paris; 20 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward (Edna) Miller and Marvin (Lizzie) Miller, both of Nappanee, Herman (Ada) Miller and Earl (Edna) Miller, both of Bourbon; sisters, Laura (John) Slabaugh, Etna Green, Lydia (Eldon) Stutzman, Warsaw, and Alma Miller, Nappanee; and brother-in-law, Eli (Amanda) Kuhns, Etna Green.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Raymond Miller; and sisters, Mary Kuhns and Erma Miller.

The family will receive friends after noon today and all day Saturday at the family residence.

Funeral services will take place at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the Lavern Yoder residence, 10561 N. Ind. 19, Nappanee. The home ministers of the church will officiate.

Burial will follow at Graber Cemetery.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, is assisting the family with arrangements.
