Terry Linn Gochenour

Nov. 7, 1947-Feb. 18, 2012

BOURBON — Terry Linn Gochenour, 65, passed away from natural causes Saturday at 1:58 p.m. in his home.

Terry was born the son of Lewis Devon Gochenour and Ethel Wallace Gochenour Nov. 7, 1946 in Warsaw, and was a resident of the area all his life. He graduated in 1965 from Triton High School and worked as a  truck driver for Heckaman Homes before he had a serious accident in

1984. Terry was a member of the Bourbon American Legion Post 424 and of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was also known for his many enjoyable and colorful conversations over coffee with his friends at the Bourbon Mini Mart and the Bourbon Truck Stop and enjoyed sports and pony harness racing.

 He is survived by his two daughters, Tami Vance and Tara (Keith) Troyer, both of Nappanee; his son Trevor Gochenour, Nappanee; six grandchildren, Trent, Breanna and Brooklyn Troyer, Paige and Maddox Vance and Jersey Gochenour; three brothers, Larry (Susan) Gochenour, Etna Green, Joe (Alana) Gochenour of Clarksville, Tenn., and Steve (Vicky) Gochenour, Columbus.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Layne Troyer.

There will be no visitation. A graveside service with military services by the Bourbon American Legion will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bourbon.

The family requests memorial contributions be made in his memory to the Bourbon American Legion.
