Sharol L. Haney

Jan. 29, 1935-May 16, 2012

MIDDLEBURY — Sharol L. Haney, 77, died early Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Tammy, following a nine-month illness.

She was born Jan. 29, 1935 in Goshen, to Ora E. and Orpha (Tully) Miller who preceded her in death.

She married Abraham Junior Haney Feb. 1, 1953. He died April 12, 1996.

She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy (Ron) Valentine, Bristol, and Tammy (Jeff) Clouse, Middlebury; a son, James (Rebecca) Haney, Elkhart; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a stepbrother, Steve (Ruth) Stump, Goshen.

Mrs. Haney retired in 1980 after 16 years of service at Skyline Corporation. She was head of bookkeeping and clerking for Dwight Miller Auctioneering for 29 years. She attended Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church in Goshen. She was a member of Goshen City Church of the Brethren and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 210, where she was very active member. She graduated in 1952 from Goshen High School.

Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, Goshen, where a funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Monday Pastor Russ Hunsberger of Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church will officiate.

Burial will be in West Goshen Cemetery. Members of the American Legion Riders will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to Brenneman Memorial Missionary Church or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
