Marilyn J. Mattern

ELKHART — Marilyn J. Mattern, 84, 28476 C.R. 24, West, died at 12:05 a.m. Monday at Hubbard Hill Estates, where she had resided for one week.

On May 2, 1947, she married Kenneth D. Mattern in Wakarusa. He survives with daughters, Sonja (Ed) Risser of LaPorte and Lana (Joe) Weigand of Fort Wayne; and a son, David (Gail) Mattern of Olathe, Kan.

Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Wakarusa, and one hour before the funeral service, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Jamestown United Methodist Church.

Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
